The Castle of Good Hope built alongside the Camissa River was one of a chain of Castles, Forts and Lodges that stretched from West Africa to East Africa and Madagascar. These fortresses were an integral part of slavery and were alo built in India and the Indonesia Islands and in Latin America and the Carribean. They remain as a testament to world slavery and its legacy of misery.
